I am an Ivy League trained Psychiatrist with 15 years clinical experience. My approach may or may not involve medications but always involves psychotherapy. I observe that medications are often misused and overprescribed by my colleagues when in fact what would be most helpful is a thoughtful observation of ways in which your coping strategies fall short, or ways in which thoughts and behaviors undermine our success. I believe that the work we do should feel motivating, comforting, empowering and interesting.
